Meet the Doctors

Dr. Anchita Dalal

Dr. Anchita Dalal is an Atlanta native. She attended the University of Georgia for undergrad (Go Dawgs!) and double majored in Biology and Psychology. After graduating in 2009, she attended the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago and received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2013. She worked in Arizona for 4 years before returning back to her home state of Georgia.

Dr. Anchita’s clinical rotations included Pediatrics and Vision Therapy at Hellerstein & Brenner Vision Center in Denver, CO, Specialty Contact Lens Fitting at McCormick Vision Source in Austin, TX and Ocular Disease and Low Vision at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Johnson City, TN.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, baking, hiking (most memorable are her backpacking trips to the Havasu Falls in the Grand Canyon and a 10-day hiking trip around Mont Blanc in the Alps), and spending time with her husband, Dr. Neville, their daughter, and their adopted retired greyhound.

Dr. Neville Dalal

Originally from the central coast of California, Dr. Neville Dalal now calls Georgia home. He attended college in southern California at Cal Poly Pomona where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2012 and immediately traded the frigid winters for the blazing hot summers when he moved to Arizona for work.

Dr. Neville Dalal’s clinical rotations included Ocular Disease at the Brooklyn VA in New York City, Ocular Disease at Swagel Wootten Eye Institute in Mesa, AZ, Ocular Disease at the Wenzhou Medical College in Wenzhou, China, and Pediatrics and Specialty Contact Lenses at the Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, IL.

His hobbies include photography, running, biking, traveling, and adventuring with his wife, Dr. Anchita, their daughter, and their greyhound.

Dr. Rima Thakker-Macwan

Dr. Macwan attended New York University earning a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. She then graduated from SUNY College of Optometry and began patient care in New York City, New Jersey and then Arizona before relocating to Georgia in 2021.

Dr. Macwan's clinical rotations included Pediatrics and Vision Therapy at SUNY College of Optometry in New York City, Pediatric and Ocular Disease at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, and Primary Care at the VA Hospital in Lyons, NJ. 

Her hobbies include baking, traveling, interior design, and spending time with her husband and three children.
